Bravia Sports ("Bravia Sports," "we," "us," or "our") operates a professional football gap year development program placing US high school players with partner clubs in Portugal and Belfast, Ireland. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you and your family have.

By submitting an application or otherwise using this website, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian must also review and agree on your behalf.

1. Information We Collect

Website usage information

  • Basic technical information collected automatically through Google Analytics, described in Section 9

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Review and process applications
  • Communicate with applicants, and with parents or guardians for applicants under 18, about the program
  • Administer the program for accepted players, including coordination with our partner clubs, Real Sports Club and Glentoran FC, and our education partner, Sportrail
  • Respond to questions and provide support
  • With separate consent, use photos or video for marketing on our website and social media
  • Meet legal, safety, and administrative obligations

We do not use application information for automated decision-making, and we do not sell personal information.

3. Information About Applicants Under 18

Most Bravia Sports applicants are 18 or older. For those who are under 18:

  • We require a parent or legal guardian's contact information and consent as part of the application
  • We communicate directly with the parent or guardian about the application and program, in addition to the applicant
  • A parent or guardian can request to review, correct, or delete their child's information at any time by contacting us (see Section 8)

4. How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to operate the program:

  • Partner clubs and education partner: Real Sports Club, Glentoran FC, and Sportrail receive the information needed to coordinate training, housing, and the Beyond the Pitch curriculum for accepted players
  • Service providers: companies that help us operate, such as our email, website hosting, analytics, and CRM providers, under obligations to protect your information
  • Legal requirements: if required by law, or to protect the safety of a player or others

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. International Data Transfers

Because Bravia Sports recruits players based in the United States and operates programs in Portugal and Belfast, Ireland, information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than where you live. We take reasonable steps to protect information wherever it is processed.

6. Data Retention

We retain application information for as long as reasonably necessary to process the application, and if the applicant is not accepted, for a limited period afterward in case of a future application. If accepted, we retain program participation information for the duration of the program and afterward as needed for legitimate business, legal, or safety purposes. You can request earlier deletion at any time (see Section 8).

7. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we collect. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights and Choices

You, or if you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian, may:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold
  • Request that we correct inaccurate information
  • Request that we delete information, subject to legal or program related retention needs
  • Withdraw consent for photo or video use at any time going forward
